Ive recently moved from the coast to Kamloops. Im use to fighing the vedder/chehalis and the salt chuck.

Ive just recently started to fish lakes. What does it mean whe the lake has "turned" ive heard this from a few people now. and how can you tell? is it good or bad?

thanks Dan

I think turn over happens when the water temp reaches 38 degrees Fahrenheit.

IIRC that when water is at it's heaviest and so the heavier water sinks resulting in a kind of mess for a while after it all settles out then fishing is back to normal.

This is in the spring after ice out don't know if it happens in the fall haven't lake fished all that much.
