"Contributions to support increased Native participation in commercial fisheries, cooperative fisheries management arrangements and consultations respecting Aboriginal fisheries agreements"

This seems to be the wording of choice under the grant purpose column. Anyone that knows what this means and perhaps shed some light on the less informed?
Boy I can tell ya that looks like a lot of dough. How can I get a grant?[}:)]

I did a quick summary of the numbers on that first page. $15,200,000 total grants throughout Canada of which $6,950,000 is paid directly to Vancouver Island communities. Hopefully some of it is making it to enhancement and habitat.

We actually can get grants (tax refunds) through charitable donations to organizations like the Sooke Salmon Enhancement Society (Google "SSES Sooke" for the website and details.)
In a backwards kind of way we can force the government to put as much money as we want to these orgs.

Thanks for the link.
