Chilko River fishing regs

Hello everyone.

I have a question about the wording of a regulation in Region 5. I have asked around and got different answers so thought I'd ask here. Any answers appreciated.

A reg in the Chilko river section of region 5 states "No angling from powered boats upstream of bridge at Henry’s Crossing, Sept 11-Sept 30; speed restriction (5 km/h) on part"

Do you read this to say 'No angling from boats and then from Sept 11-30 theres a speed limit'. OR, 'Theres no fishing from boats Sept 11-30 and theres a speed restriction.'

I'm sure this is a stupid question, and grammar based! But if anyone could clear it up as I've not had any luck with Service BC. Cheers.

I would say - no angling from boats and there is a speed limit.

You can use a boat to go from one fishing location to another.

Call the BC Conservation Service office in Quesnel (250) 992-4212 to get a more definitive answer.
