Is it illegal to use a treble hook on buzzbombs and other casting lures like stingzeldas and zingers?

There is no limit to how many hooks you can have in the tidal fishing areas. However when trolling for salmon they must be barbless. If my memory serves me right

I think when targeting species other than baitfish, you can have multiple hooks, they just can't be placed in a way that will catch multiple fish. And yeah, barbless for salmon. You can still use trebles if you really want to, but they need to be barbless.

Took a while, but I did find a fisheries page that specifically said treble hooks are legal as long as they are barbless and not used in the tidal waters of rivers. Single barbless hooks restrictions are more common in freshwater.

That's right, tidal river is different. I should rephrase my post to there's no limit on how many hooks you can use in the ocean

Not a fan of treble claw hooks anymore. With catch and release, hatchery only, slot size etc.. The damage a treble hook can cause reduces the chances of a successful release.
