Boat will not troll slow enought

a few times trolling for sockeye I wasn't able to get my speed down low enough. I threw the engine I wasn't using in reverse and was able to create enough drag to slow it to where I wanted it.

Wow. Silly us. Never thought of that. Twice the exhaust smell though. Good tip, good advise from everyone. I will talk him into a kicker. If he sticks with what he has, I am more than happy to fish on my own boat

I ran a yammie 9.9 on my BERTRAM 31. Centred on swim grid. It sucked big in any wind. Sadly the 25ht yammie wasn't avaiable then.

I used a happy troller before I got my kicker. Loved it and worked great. Got the kicker as a gift otherwise would of never switched. Heavy duty one.

Ya, I never turned the engine on just stopped the unused props from free spooling.
