back country fishing

thinking about going out sunday for a little tour and do some fishing. I have a back woods map book and was wondering where you would go this time of year, say with in 2hrs of Langford.
maybe bear creek resivoir? diversion?
never been up there to fish, say with in the are of vic- port Renfrew-lake cowichan - back to vic.
I can bring fly gear or spinning gear. and the zodiac

my favorite lake is fairy... catch and release mind you (and fly only) but man have we pulled some nice sea run cuties out of there, with dozens of 12" rainbows in between... on dry flys to boot! but then again have not fished it in the fall... could be a different story.
