Hey all,
I've got for sale an Atkins 3000W AC Generator with an 8HP Briggs and Stratton 4 Stroke engine. The unit itself is older, but has been well cared for and has relatively low hours -- has been serviced and starts on the first pull every time. This generator is extremely heavy duty -- it is meant to run Commercial applications and was purchased as the sole source of power to build the in-laws cabin. It has been used sparingly since that time as it is too large and heavy for the light loads required.
On the Generator side the unit has outlets for 110V 15A, and 110/220V 30A outlets all individually fused. It comes in a protective steel carrying cage and it is painted bright orange.
The engine is an extremely powerful 8Hp Briggs and Stratton 4-stroke with an auto-idle switch that allows the engine to ramp up as more power is required. The engine has been recently serviced (Oil, Filters, plug and Carb Kit) and runs without any issues. The engine is quite loud, however, I've modified the exhaust with a flexible SS exhaust hose mated to a removable muffler. This modification deadens the sound right down so you can have a conversation beside the unit in a normal voice.
The unit is well suited for an off-grid cabin/home, for emergency backup power, or for jobsite power applications.
