Well the topic of Eagles has been hot in the Lower Rainland of late-seems they are adapting to urban areas in numbers.
So I suppose it's all in character that I saw something that previously was rare as Popesh*t in English Bay.
Seen it up in QCI and Douglas channel but never would I have imagined that I would see 3 Eagles grabbing baitfish off the surface in front of a city of 3 million+ people-but today I did[:0]
Twice baitballs built up to a critical mass enough to attract birds and of course the Gulls were on them like white on rice.
The first time 3 Eagles joined in then the next time 4 Eagles!
Quite the sight with downtown skyscrapers gleaming in the background I'll tell you.
Fishing was slow unfortunately a few taken around up but we didn't get a sniff.
Lotsa Prawns though despite a commercial prawner being in sight.
