If new regs don’t come into effect till April why the hurry on regs? I know nisfac meets feb 24, Nanaimo March 7th, assume many others around same time. Realize DFO needs time to make license but it is literally just changing numbers on a pdf now, not printing anything. Good place to put forward the options and vote now we know the poundage.

Ps still don’t see any numbers as to why various other regs “won’t work”

Also, I'm sure guys at the table this/next week will saying salmon regs will affect halibut numbers but apparently last year it didn't, and on top of that the new stupid regs will be in georgia strait where little to no hali are caught anyway no?

Yes. But the increased take from one area in Johnstone strait won’t be drastic. Literally maybe 1k at most.
