The herring sold for this (and others like the cancer one) charity fund raisers ARE NOT over and above the allocated quota for the commercial herring fishery. If it is the herring quota for the commies you have a problem with then take your concerns to those that govern that, not a forum thread that has to do with a charity fund raiser where your comments make no sense nor have any merit whatsoever. Personally to me you are coming across uninformed and shooting from the hip in the wrong place.

There's lot's of avenues you can take if you want to learn about, change, or participate in talks about those fisheries quotas and regulations.

It would be great to donate to these causes and leave the herring in the water.

Come to think of it, at $300 a ton commercially, it would again be better to donate the money and keep 20% of a keystone species in the water....

Agreed, this thread isn’t the place. It’s a good cause and nowhere did I imply they were over quota. The Herring Fishery can be discussed elsewhere.
