Subject: 2015 Tide and Current Tables
Good day,
As you may already know, the 2015 Tide and Current tables produced by The Canadian Hydrographic Service, now shows tidal heights in metres only, no longer showing the more accurate foot and inch levels.
After discussion with Ms Ilona Monahan, Tidal Officer, she said that this could be reversed, as it is not a cost saving measure, but what they thought was in the best intrest of yachtsmen and commercial operators.
She says that if they receive letters from as many people as possible asking for the reinstatement of the Imperial Measure, they could well have the foot and inch column in next years publication.
I ask that you take a momment and write her stating your thoughts on this matter and being in favour of having foot and inches returned.
