All Things COVID-19

yeah This makes it hard to see international travel opening but who knows i gave up trying to make sence of this stuff.
I agree about making any sense out of this. It does show how opening things up seems to trigger outbreaks so the virus still seems to be hanging around, just when i was hoping we could go back to a more normal life

Probably all the public health officials would like to lock us in our houses for years until they get a vaccine...cost and freedom be damned. Thank god they aren't given free reign.

I think it was based on the fact we are on the higher end of our contacts.

In the USA is seing a big increase but there dr basically said they don’t think a lockdown would be effective because they don’t see compliance. Seem like they say everyone should wear a mask but apparently even at 95% use spread will still happen.

Interesting how this whole situation is evolving

also the US testing young people at super high rates. Their daily cases are super high as testing is nuts and they’re detecting a ton of asymptomatic cases which as NOW WHO says don’t spread.

It's true, as best that I can tell, that the average age of those testing positive is getting younger. Testing numbers have also gone up but it doesn't account for the increase in positives. The ratio between test and positive result is what is driving the current spike. That's not a good sign as you want your percent of positive to go down not up.

Yea I heard that WHO did say they asymptomatic cases don't spread too. They did a poor job explaining but did clear it up the next day. Here is a video from one of the doctors that I find to be helpful that explains it back in June 17.

Well folks, it's been almost 2 weeks since all the protests in Alberta & based on the numbers you would never know.

It's about 2 weeks for BC also & no major outbreaks linked to the protests.....

“When they say ’recovered,’ they don’t tell you that that means you may need a lung transplant,” Antoinette wrote in a Twitter post. “Or that you may come back after discharge with a massive heart attack or stroke, because COVID makes your blood thick as hell. Or that you may have to be on oxygen for the rest of your life.”

yes and some of its being contributed to the protest. The scale of protests in BC and Alberta is not even close to what was seen in the USA.

That said it does not seem like another lock down is in the cards here or the USA.
