Agree, they looked fresh while getting goals when they needed to. Markstrom is playing with a ton of confidence and the 3rd and 4th lines kept the top line from Colorado in check. Nice to see Goldy in the lineup. He just needs to figure out more of what is expected of him.

seems the Nucks needed that break..pretty solid game in Colorado :)
Their early season schedule was crazy and all the injuries took a toll. We are seeing what the team is right now which will make it easier for Benning and all to make informed decisions

Canucks in tough but Philly looked particularly strong at both ends of the ice. No puck luck this game. Great goaltending with Hart and a late big time save. If they get to the playoffs they will be a tough eastern opponent. Hope Edler is ok if not a big loss. Glad to see Green decide to give Horvat some offensive support and it did make a difference in the 3rd.

It’s a good game to lose. In fact, they all are for the Canucks at this point. The better news was they looked redpectable doing it. The best news is the leafs hammered the ducks 6-1 and Muzzin was a monster out there.

In all seriousness, I’m really sorry to have seen elder go down with a very unfortunate injury hat I just saw... I hope for his family, friends, teammates and fans that he comes out okay.

Norris trophy en route

Wow, looks like Matthews signed for 5 @ $11.5 per . Mostly signing bonus I understand with $15m first year. That's a lot of money for a 20 year old kid. With the potential of $30m spend for 3 players you would think Nylanders days are numbered.
Rest assured TSN is going to make a life story out of this.

Mathews and Petterson have the identical scoring numbers right now I believe

Yep 23g 23a with 4 more games for Petterson.
If Peterson keeps it up for a few years he’ll get a big paycheque too!
He does weigh 50 lbs less than matthews so he might want to hit the gym!

Pretty miserable first period for the Canucks, second had the better of the play with no puck luck, 3rd period pretty even.
Tough now with Edler out as the defence all move up a slot, Tanev is forced to play his opposite side and the rest playing above their pay scale. Hope Edler is not out to long.

What a slap shot by Petterson late vs Chicago. I must say the big three are pretty good in Vancouver Patrerson, Boeser and Horvat.

Still no Matthews, Tavares and Marner.

Canucks were in it until they got the 2 man advantage in the first and from point on it really showed how much the defence misses Edler.
Leivo and Virtanen played especially well in my opinion but I will take the point as the Canucks held in there with 3 games in 4 nights.

Habs-Leafs good entertainment, anybody's game
San Jose- Edmonton well, just listen to Hitchcock's post game comments

Canucks first period, skated, held their own against a strong Calgary team
Canucks second period stopped skating , Calgary defence pinched and Canucks suffered, Markstrom
Canucks third period, after 1/2 the period in the penalty box played even and had chances, Markstrom
OT- Markstrom , Markstrom was outstanding and I felt it was his best ever performance.
Post game, Kelly Hurdy was silenced.

I see Randy Carlyle was let go this morning in Anaheim. What took so long, I guess again he lost the room. Last chance for him possibly. GM Murray taking over interm so he can look the players in the eye and make prudent decisions to what the future looks like. Hopefully they respond and climb out of the basement so another wishful team can have a shot at the #1 ranked Quinn. The Quinn brothers in Van would be awesome as a great replacement for the Sedins.
Luck in the lottery and squash the curse for good. LOL.
