Fished the Vic water front today from 6 to 10. There were about 35 boats out fishing, water was calm. Lots of bait on the sonar but not many fish.
We used bait and fished all the depth and not a bite. I did see two nets out and one fish landed appeared to be a spring. Also talked to about 6 other boats and all said they never had a bite.
What boat are you on Doug ?

Was also out in the mix from about 0700-0800. Too busy for me so I packed it in to try some Halibut fishing. No luck with either species! Lots of boats working the MudHole as well!

Went out for the evening shift tonight. Lines down off the green can at about 4:45. About an hour later we had a real nice fish on. Took a nice long run and after about 30 seconds it spit the AP Spoon and that was that. Long line release and nothing else. Saw a guy with a 14# white at the cleaning station. He said that was his only hit.

Fished the Vic water front from 6 to 11. There were only 20 boats (max) and I never saw another boat netting a fish. We fished 60 ft to 110 on the DR and the only action we had was in 120 ft of water and 110ft on the DR. Got one 13lb white spring and a 7 lb winter spring. Lots of bait on the sonar but not many fish showing up. Both fish were not clipped.
I saw TinboatRobb and he had nothing but he was just starting fishing.

You saw Irishwolf. I was not fishing today. He has the black Lund with a 30hp ETEC on it. Mine is a 20hp Merc 4stroke.

As Tinboatrobb said, you saw me! We have very similar boats so easy to miss. I got into a 15# red about an hour after I waved to you. On bait up higher in the water column. And it hit on my camera line! Here is the footage!

Congrats. We fished OB flats for 4 hours. Returned a 50 cm spring to the sea and lost a nice spring at the back of the boat. About 6 boats out there and only a few fish caught Thursday. Wonderful sunrise and calm seas.
