You could be wasting your money

Flouro is low-vis; that's WHY it is used. For Salmon, I don't use anything under 30#. It is stiff & doesn't twist like most mono.

I fell hard for the fluoro bandwagon; and am now completely off it. had waaay to many knot failures and break offs. Some of the specialized knots i was finding far too difficult to tie accurate leader lengths ( uni knot, or palomars for example ) and too much dicking around while fishing. one forgettable eve last August i lost two monsters in a row to failed leader knots. fluoro is so stiff it cuts into itself( especially palomar if tied incorrectly; if you cross the lines during the overhand it WILL fail ). i dunno. cons outweigh the pros for me. plus i’m scottish and mono is cheaper.
