You biggest Halibut

These pics were taken a few years ago before the regs changed :(

150lb is my boats biggest although the ones that we have lost over the years were much bigger!! Both caught at anchor in less than 100' water on herring/salmon belly/octopus combo.

Somewhere near Sooke BC

I have reeled in my first halibut off the northwest tip of Queen Charlottles Island, 30 pound, and second one 20 pound. It was in the year of 2007. I don't fish for halibut very much. good eating fish thou.

nookia fish Picture 002.jpgI was launching out of Neah Bay and fishing east of port Renfrew when my dad and I hooked this beast in 2005. scaled at 214#s. 75" long.

Well this will be our biggest halibut as they are our first! After some trial and error... and alot of $$, we opted to book a trip out with Blue Wolf Charters! Great day on the water with good company - lots learned from Roy! Mine was 28 and my husbands 24 :) All smiles from us!

Big - more than ten years ago way up north. Now I only keep the smaller ones for consumption. Big ones are free to go make more
