WTB - Campion Sedan 622 or 215

Hey I am possibly looking at buying a sedan type of boat either the Explorer 622 or Victoria 215 without bottom paint :), all the better if the I/O motor is shot or has mech problems. Please PM, text 4038967504 or email temp-4-me@outlook.com me if you or anyone you know has something like this for sale.

I was talking to Campion today and they informed me that the transom on the 2005 and up was of composite material but stringers remained to be of wood so 2005 or newer would be ideal but not critical. Thank you

Interesting, I thought post 2005 everything was composite. Curious about the no bottom paint request? Any reason other than you won't be mooring it?

It's me not you :) lol, I just want a nice clean look, easy to inspect for repairs and no maintenance (only polish and wax).

Please see attached spec differences attached (2004 622 vs 2005 622 vs 1992 215)...

Ya, I was concerned about the same things when buying my boat.. could only find one with bottom paint.. hopefully wasn't hiding anything!

For the 542 '05 and up it says, fiberglass stringer grid.. would this be fully composite or again encased wood?

Campion advised that it was wood...

Yes, it's a real fear, unfortunately. The liners in these boats would/could be a real challenge to get a nice patch/repair but not impossible.

Interesting! Dam should have looked into that more. Totally thought the while thing was composite.

Sorry sir to be the bearer of info :( I don't think the liner work make for an easy stringer replace/repair...

Luckily it's a 2017.. hopefully have a few years before having to worry

I am sure, with proper care and maintenance many trouble free years... :p

What about a 672 or 682? Or are those too big/pricey?

Thank you but ya a bit too big, I want to stay around the 622 or 215 size.

Galleon in Richmond had a 2016 622 with no bottom paint. You may want to give them a call see if it’s still available.
