Anybody have any info about Winter Harbour we are going up Wednesday to case things out and do a little fishing.Never been before, just going in blind and it would be nice to get a little info to make things go little faster
1) Good spots to fish for halibut and salmon
2) Places to stay

I remeber fishing there a while ago and it was great. I lost a fish of a lifetime and caught some decent fish. I dont know much about the area except that we made the run from coal harbour to the mouth of the inlet near a light house and fished on the edge of a kelp bed<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Thats about all i remember

Thanks Kelly will give it a try.Anyone else.

I have some friends who go there quite often. Depending on the size of boat you have you can always trailer in and camp there (20ft +/-) . They drive to Coal Harbour and then out through Holberg. It is a logging condition road. There is a ramp at the campsite there but have to watch the tides for launching and a dock to ty up to.There is ice and fuel available and this site has some good information.

Search Winter Harbour on Google and there is some good information on who to contact there.
Take layers of clothes to wear as you have to be ready for any weather and a good GPS. Heavy tackle is a must.

I would also like to know the best time of year to fish there?
