Does anybody know a good website or a means of determining wind reports? More specific to the West Coast, curious to know what is happening in Nootka sound. Thanks in advance as always.

Most accurate one I have found is swell watch but I use it in conjunction with the public Estevan pt andTC marine weather Forecast

The best one I have used for wind is

It gives you a very good forecast and has an app.

Off WCVI.....I too use Buoyweather. Enviro/Canada is ridiculous with it's inaccuracy unless you are checking a buoy/station to get the weather "right now".

Have seen forecasts for Tofino which are brutally inaccurate but Buoyweather is right on.

Looked at bouyweather, but appears to cost $80 per year. Correct?

If you want the full deal....but if you just want a short term forecast (I think maybe 48 hrs) it can be used for free.

All good stuff. Take a look at Wind Finder- wind, wave & weather. We use Estevan Pt. readings for Nootka & Esperanza. This site can be use anywhere in the world just sign in & give it a location. IT is FREE & it very reliable.
