water at the stamp???

hey i was just wonderin if anybody went to the stamp today im lookin for some info on the water level cause i dont really wanna drive all the way from nanaimo in the snow tomorrow morning so im just wonderin if the water is up much from thursday. any info would be appreciated

Actually, the flow stayed about constant through the weekend. Snow on the banks, and the water is very very cold. Three outings for nada through this for me. It's about medium height, and gin clear as of yest. Expect the forcast rain/warm will rise and dirty her pretty quick this week. Couldn't face 4 shots for nada, so home today. Will be on it anon, and letcha know <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

thanks for the info i went for the afternoon bite yesterday and hooked 1 first cast and then nothin for a while. fished till it was pitch balck with no other action until a large school moved into the pool right at dark and missed 1.

Took today off after the GONG show of yest. Water was in great shape, just starting to colour with the sky-water and snowmelt. That wasn't what got me, the TEN trucks parked through the Falls and Slide area, complete with 24 rods in front of me didn't do well for my attitude. Hit 5, landed 3 amongst the masses. Most didn't get any, just a spotty showing here and there. General consensus: poor to worse than.

Thought it would blow out today, but apparently it didn't. Fishing was OFF again up at the falls according to the report from those that are CAMPING there, now three rigs full - permanently on-site through the weekend. They'll be pounding it again anon, and the fellas with the pontoons are loaded and ready for the 5:00 am arrival. Looks like I'll be hunting elsewhere. BTW: I've heard a rumour that the Regional District is about to gate off the access to the airport side for good quite shortly. Looking into it now, but appears to be real. Man, gonna make for a looooong walk.

Why do ya suppose all the guides are sticking to the lower <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>
