Wasps sabotaging my Yamaha 150

I started my Yamaha 150 this weekend and I happened to notice it wasn't "Peeing" I quickly turned it off and on close inspection I realized Mason bee's had plugged up my water outtake with nesting materials. I used the boat the day before! These guys act fast. I am reluctant to plug the hole just in case I (or someone) neglects to unplug it again.
Any tips on preventing this?
Any advice appreciated.

Cheers

Perhaps build some mason bee blocks and hang them on your shop. They are looking for places to nest, so give it to them. They might leave your motor alone and it's a great project if you have kids.
