Besides an oil change, zinc, and greasing the shaft, what other yearly service should be done on my 290 leg volva penta. And what shop would you take it to in the victoria area.

You have just about covered it, if there is any water in oil then you will need it serviced but they are pretty bulletproof.
Only other thing I suggest is replacing the bellows and see if you can grease the U joints, some you can some not.
I just had a complete refit done By GARTSIDE marine the one in Oak bay and they did a great job on my new Volvo system and hes a lic and registered volvo guy , hence why I went to them. just Tell Charles I sent you to him if you need work done
