I am a european from south africa. I would like to visit canada during september 2004 to fish salmon in the fraser river. On ivestigating I have established that guided tours are realy expensive, as our currency are traded as 5 to 1 to the canadian dollar. I would like to know if there is any alternative such as a local canadian fisherman with his own boat that would be prepared to take me out with him to share the cost. I can supply my own tackle. I am quite prepared to return the favour if such gentleman would ever want to fish for the mighty tigerfish in africa. I am a fundy at this.
