wonder how many comparisons you can make between this and fraser river sockeye. While there is not sockeye hatcheries almost no one sport fished for them before 1990 and the advent of flossing.

In the 1990-2010 i saw an amazing amount of sport fishing increase in the fraser along with rampant abuse of the fishery. People having there friends or family just shuttle there fish home all day so they could continue to snag em all day. While there many other factors at play I can't help but see a familiarity with what happened with our sockeye runs.

The estimates bye DFO are based on the fish on the spawning beds ......and out going migration of the little guys.. water temp. and food in lakes for the little guys would be a big facter...
