Went down and took a look at my new boat it's coming along great. I'm willing to bet there is know other 21 footer with this sf it's Huge. The fishing deck is bigger than a north river 26 foot offshore fishing deck. The boat should be in my driveway by mid to late october. I will post pics later..

I took a tour Of the boat yesterday. It's a 43 foot crabber that going to be used in California this is a older pic but it should be done in the next few weeks!!

Man, I just found this thread. Very cool boat. Looking forward to seeing the finished product, and some action shots this winter.

It looks to me like there's a pair of tuna pullers on the stern of the big one in front of yours. Consider having one mounted on yours too!

What are tuna pullers? I don't know if I want to go out for tuna in a 21.5 foot boat? I would really like to try it on day out of bamfield. I'm also considering pulling my boat to Cali or the Baja in Mexico.

Here are some pics from today. The brow is complete and the back window is cut. I really like how the fish and anchor boxes turned out!

Looks great! Certainly will be one of a kind. Just curious why you went with such a different hull from the norm? I know it's not strictly a fishing boat but there are a few things that would make me nervous.

A. Waves over the bow.
B. having downriggers so far forward.
C. Not being able to play fish easily when they swim behind the boat. You will have to get someone on the controls every hook up.
D. Limited visibility from the cockpit over the bow.

Either way excited to see the final product and should be a great platform.

My thoughts were this. I was always looking backwards at my rigger from the helm and I thought that was a pain. When you are in motoring in rough water go stand at the back of your boat is ride much nicer. You will be able to grab the wheel very easy from the fishing deck. I seemed to land most of my fish on the side of my boat not behind the motors. The bow is 55" high it's really high! the deck is air tight and the water would run right off the deck on the around alleys. There is 11.5" of deck on each side of the house and 30" behind the house so if I get a hog and need to go back I can. There will be hand rails on the house. I have had 3 cuddy and I always have the same problem you set all the stuff up front you start to hit big waves and then you bed and cloths and beer are starting to fly out all over the place. I have bunk beds in the back of this house when you hit rough water there no where for my bed and pillow and what ever else to go. The catamaran was not my first idea but I'm glad I went with it. The hull is really really big for a 21 footer. Cats are up to 45% more fuel efficient I don't know what this boat will be like till I try it but twin 90 suzuki should be pretty good on fuel. The boat , motors , gear and fuel will be around the 4300 to 4500lbs mark.

If the boat works the way imagine and hope, i may be onto something. I also like how easy it will be to lower and pull the anchor for sturgeon and halibut fishing. Never anchored fo Hali yet but I just boat 600' of 1/2" Sampson rope that should do the trick.. I use a rocking chair Fraser river anchor and that's why there is a Channel between the fish and anchor boxes, the anchor will sit in that slot!
