Towing a car. Suggestions needed

Hi folks,
We are moving to the Island on Aug 1st. I’ve got an old car that isn’t running and I’m trying to figure out a way to get it there at a reasonable cost. Id like to do it myself rather than pay a moving or tow company. I have an F-150 to tow it over.

Can I use a tow dolly of some sort or a flat deck trailer? Anyone have a lead on one I can borrow or rent? Any other suggestions?

I rented a flat deck trailer from U-Haul when I moved back to the island years ago. I rented it for a 1-way trip, no issues. I had a VW Bus on it.

You can use a dolly for the car but the car has to have valid insurance. If no insurance, you need to trailer it.

I have used U Haul as well with no problems.

Thanks for the responses. Looks like a one way U haul will be my best option. That is unless I get some time to get my baby (1970 Cougar 351C convertible ) running.
