I found a thief today who was stealing stuff from a pleasure boat in the Boat Basin today. Broad daylight, about 11:30 am. The boat was moored on the main float between Penny’s Palapas and the foot ferry. He was breaking into the cabin, partially hidden under the canvas, as people walked by. I alerted the wharfinger’s office, they came right down and found the guy hiding amongst his loot: down-riggers, etc. The hooded thief ran, but is “known to police.”
