Good post WMY - but wouldn't it be great WMY (and everyone else posting) - if we didn't have to compare ourselves to the next worse person in the line-up and say: "Oh ya - well look @ him - he's as bad as I am"?

What's the single largest motivator that causes mines & other industrial activities to destroy our creeks, rivers & lakes whether they be in the US or Canada? and more importantly - what can we do about that?

Gave it too you a while ago. It starts at the management of MOE has nothing to do with government. The governments change but the departments don't change. The motivator is the professional reliance model. It simply does not work.

MOE should do it's own work not sub-contract it out. Hire more workers to do the enforcement, and approval of these projects. It also will make the government more accountable.

Well isent that what this is about? the EPA can point fingers at Canada but Trumps got them on lock down when it comes to pointing fingers at large Amercian corporations.

wow what an odd result. Engineers found at fault and fined because they did not do extra work and investigating. extra work and investication that there client (imperial medals) was not willing to pay for. Then Imperial medals turns around and sues the engineering company and they settle for 140 million.

Bizzare is one description for it, WMY. This same company gave $ to the BC Liberal Party and - as you said - walks away untouched. If me or you did that - we'd be pounding rocks or making licence plates in the penn.
