You're wasting your time-there is zip for water in the rivers you're thinking of.
Better you should line up at the mouth of the Oyster with all those beeks who think Pink Salmon are worth catching.

Hey, flyfishing for the pinks is great fun, and not as easy as you would think. THey can be quite selective.
Too bad you think you are "above" fishing for pinks. Fresh they are a great tasting little fish, perfect for dinner for two. Canned they are great for sandwiches and smoked they are excellent. Don't freeze well at all though. I plan on canning more coho this year if I manage to land a few hatchery fish. Caught tons last year, but almost all wild, which is good... and not so good.
Anyways, I'm no beek, but I do like playing with the pinks.

Best time for the GOLD is when it's high and fast!! Went there earlier this year with a buddy....first time for me, but my buddy has been going regularly for about 20 years. It was also my first time going for steelies....I caught 10 and landed 7, my buddy caught 8 and we only had 2 (short) days of fishing...it was a RIOT!!! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
