So what are your plans for the 15th?

Hope the turn out is good - but it's a massive error to plan a protest for Monday morning at 9:00am. People have to work, particularly on a Monday morning. If you're goal is to show numbers, the day before Sunday July 14th would have been smart.

Where's the boats? I see nothing on the breakwall cam?

They started there like 45 minutes ago and then headed towards the harbour - don't know specifics but at least min 50 boats from what I could see in videos uploaded so far - looks like they may be coming right in now? https://royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/about/explore/rbcm-channel/web-cam

One again I agree. These are 100% Campbell River Chinook . To Shut down the world famous terminal iconic Tyee Club rowboat fishery, one of the least impactful and controlled fisheries on the planet, is an outrage. This achieves absolutely nothing in terms of protecting any Fraser Chinook. The liberals seem to be stumbling around in the dark, making one bad fisheries decision after another in knee jerk fashion without accepting input either externally or even from their own DFO experts. Then they refuse to correct their mistakes because they think it makes them look weak. How difficult would it be to show a little leadership and exempt the very small Tyee Pool area at the mouth of the Campbell River from the slot restrictions. But then these are the same geniuses who think stopping the retention of marked Hatchery Chinook was a good idea.

Agree 100 percent.

webcam showing it great - looks around 45-50 and maybe some more boats joining in. Is plan to block the seaplanes? Looks like mingling there....and here comes the coho so they cleared out for him which is probably good!

I feel like crap for not going, but impossible to do with work. I saw it on social media looks like a great turnout. It is ridiculous that they can't at the very least give Vic the same with slot limit so they have something. This minister is just punishing the anglers down there. Makes zero sense.

Good luck to all if you are fishing. Best of wishes for a succesful protest. I'll be at the dentist having a broken filling patched.

Off to Tofino next Sunday for 7 nights. Teaching my family and new dog not to fall overboard type fishing, so mostly low key short trips on the inside.
It's been good
