To Shut down the world famous terminal iconic Tyee Club rowboat fishery, one of the least impactful and controlled fisheries on the planet, is an outrage. This achieves absolutely nothing in terms of protecting any Fraser Chinook. The liberals seem to be stumbling around in the dark, making one bad fisheries decision after another in knee jerk fashion without accepting input either externally or even from their own DFO experts. Then they refuse to correct their mistakes because they think it makes them look weak. How difficult would it be to show a little leadership and exempt the very small Tyee Pool area at the mouth of the Campbell River from the slot restrictions. But then these are the same geniuses who thought stopping the retention of marked Hatchery Chinook was a good idea.
