Heading to Penticton for buddies stag this weekend. Got the whole thursday off work so i figured i would pack the fly rod and try for some smallies from shore at skaha on the way in. Dont need any special spots but wondering is it worth trying to find smallies from shore? Anyone steer me in the right direction.

South end east side is your best bet for smallies... along the KVR there is lots of spots. My buddies stag in Penny too...Beezers stag?

There's lots of small bass that live in the rockpiles caused by cut and fit work to create the KVR rail bed. Find a spot where the rail runs right by the water with a cut above and boulders below. A simple hook and worm jigged just above those rocks can produce lots of fun. Soth from Ponderosa Pt resort in Kaleden there are several of these locations. Easy park and walk.
