Sidney Halibut

Has anybody been catching any halibut around Sidney lately? We're heading out there today and thought we would give it a try.

Fished the area last Saturday and again on Sunday morning. Big tides, lots of current and no halibut to be found. Did catch lots of prawns though!

Almar, where you in the boat boat south of darcy with the black lab dwckhand? I wondered what you guys where doing with the traps

Bruce, yes we were. First time over there, usually trailer my boat up to VI, but this time we launched in Anacortes and ran across. Awesome weather last weekend and can't wait to do it again. Now we just need to figure out where the fish are! What boat were you in?

Almar, i was in the white DE that was anchored up behind the orange float. you guys where drifting past us a few times. your rig sure looks like it is set up for serious fishing. won't be out there much more this season fishing as the doggies are moving in. only be out there for socails at the spit or browning!! time to move west!.
