I’ve got two shimano convergence stories:
Still have the warranty paper that was wrapped around the butt section? When I broke mine,(10 years i had it) I took it to the tackle shop and they exchanged the rod with a broken tip for a brand new one. Lifetime warranty at that time. Not sure about their new ones but worth it to check it out.
Other story:
I was the first one on the pool one morning and about 4 casts in my line tangled around someone’s loose line. Winched it in and surprise surprise, was about 25 feet of line and at the end was a convergence rod tip and a blue Betty spoon. Nice score I thought. Anyways about 1/2 hour later a guy strolls up and we’re talking and he mentions his rod tip flew off and hit the end of the line and snapped it when he bird nested his bait caster. If I happen to snag it could I take his number and give him a call. I look over and point and tell him my tale. Talk about happy. He never even complained when I kept the spoon.
