Shearwater forced to close

Shearwater on BC’s central coast just forced to close yesterday by the Heltsuik first nation in bella bella.
I don’t understand why this is needed when everyone in the area is not permitted to stop in Bella Bella anyway.
The demands for exclusivity to vast areas of the coast by a certain race does not sit well as a lifetime bc resident, and does nothing to help bridge the gap with regards to race relations...

Forced to close short-term due to C-19 or forced to close long-term due to other issues????? Clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

Can someone post a link to the announcement please?

Dear Guest,
Friday July 17, 2020

On behalf of the Shearwater Team we regrettably have to reverse our decision to open for the 2020 season that we announced a few weeks ago.
The Resort made this decision based on there being more recent COVID 19 out breaks within British Columbia and to also work alongside the Heiltsuk First Nation to protect all residents in the Heiltsuk Territory.
The only services that Shearwater will be offering for the remainder of the 2020 year will be fuel, groceries , our wine and beer store and the hardware store.
These services are deemed essential and the resort will ensure they are available as required.
The restaurant will be kept open for the Campbell Island and Denny Island residents only.
The resort offers our deepest apologies for this and we hope you will understand and respect this decision.
The Resort is offering all our guests special rates and packages for the 2021 season and hopes that you will reserve your spot for next year.
From our Family to your Family , please take care.

Sincerely,
The Shearwater Resort Team

As stated in the announcement from Shearwater, they are still selling fuel as it's an essential service. I believe (but not 100% sure) that Dawson's landing in Rivers Inlet is also selling fuel. Best to email / call them to confirm.

Does anyone know if you can still buy fuel in Rivers Inlet?
