Hello all, I am planning to be in the mid ECVI area around Sept 23 - 25 2016 with family and looking for fishing destination/accommodation suggestions.
In the past we have stayed at Pacific Playgrounds around that time of year. While the cabins, marina and staff were great, the near shore fishing was a bit tough. This year we are geared up for trolling and/or fishing the shallows.
Some of what the group feels is important.
Cabin accommodations for 4 with cooking facilities, running water, etc.
Marina within walking distance of cabins to eliminate launching daily.
Salmon fishing nearby (bottom fish and crabbing would be also be great)
Semi protected waters as some in the group may not have good sea legs and we are in an 18 foot boat.
Location within a 2 hour drive from Parksville.
