Here a great Chowder my Buddy Al did for us on the Goldy trip...very good :)

We put in crack dungy crab, and halibut

1/2 pound sliced bacon, diced
2 medium onion, chopped
6 cups diced peeled potatoes (I used unpeeled baby potatoes cut into quarters)
4 cups water
1 pound bay or sea scallops, quartered
1 pound fresh or frozen lobster, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 pound cod, cut into 1-inch pieces
1 pound haddock, cut into 1 inch pieces
4 teaspoons salt
1/2 bunch minced fresh parsley
1 teaspoon curry powder
1/2 tsp Old Bay seasoning. If you don't have this you should get some.
2 quarts milk (skipped this completely at Goldy)
1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk

sounds and looks like a winner Derby....holmes*

The best I have eat in my life time...it will become a staple in the house this winter..just hope my girls will like it... a bit of a kick :) we used the scallops from Costco ..if no one has grab them from there yet.. yummy :)

Looks good but evaporated milk ??? thats different but hey ill try anything once my parents love that stuff in there coffee,

Instead of water I use frozen stock made from scraps after butchering fish. Makes a big difference if you can put in the time.
