If you hunt, take your rifle. Lots of deer. The best venison you can find. I go every year and do well.
As for coho flies, there are quite a few, but all you really need is a streamer about #2 - #6 (I use #6) tied chartreuse, or red and yellow, or pale green and white.

As far as chinook on the fly goes... god luck. Many experts have tried, none have found the answer.

An expert guide tells us exactly where to fish and what flies to use to enjoy North Carolina's best summer saltwater fly fishing. Fly fishing isn't just for freshwater lakes and streams. Tossing a fly for bonefish, halibut and even sharks is a blast too. Saltwater fly fishing is the fastest growing segment of the sportfishing industry.

Google..."clouser minnow". I've been to Peregrine Lodge in QC and they were very successful. Cast into the bait and let sink. Most of the hits were just below the bait ball.
To be honest, however, this was a very disappointing method of catching coho for me. The fish have a hard time fighting the drag of the large diameter fly line, catching coho on mono with a good action light spinning rod is much more fun in my opinion.

Agree that light spinning gear is by far my favorite way to catch coho!!! They just fight so hard with no drag from flylines or flashers!
