Not sure anyone is going to get a ton of sympathy here. Trophy hunting is definitely out of season with the focus on declining stocks. It’s why the Tyee Club in Campbell River needs to go to special licensing and catch measure and release fish caught in the Tyee Pool, or face being closed in that area. Nothing at all wrong with catch and release in Trophy areas. Everyone has to do their part

Read Steven Humes article it is one of the issues that we allow to continue and then must accept the disapearance of Fishing Derbies. With proper leadership and resource management including environmental protection it just does not have to be this way.
