Rod Repair

Dumb Doug dropped a weight on my eagle claw. is there anyone up island that can do repairs?

It's all over for that rod. Some guys do fix them buy apoxying in a tip off another rod up the shaft the apoxying the outside.

I got a friend in town that will do it, if the rod is sentimental to you.

looks like solid glass as well

you could put a sleeve over it but your going to loose the action ... have a flat spot in that part of the rod
give kimbyote on here a shout as he's a top notch rod builder

or you could try put a ferrule there may have to move the eye spacing around

I knew what I had done as soon as I saw it. I was just hoping....maybe. had it covered by a tarp in the back of the truck and threw a 12 lb pancake on it
