To anyone who uses Rocky Point to launch be advised that Port Moody plans to allow the construction of a Boathouse Restaurant!The building will sit in the middle of the parking lot.This will leave a total of 10 parking spots!The layout is brutal,anyone with a larger boat will not be able to launch or turn around.How many decent ramps are left in the lower mainland? Please tell your friends and attend the open house meeting at 5:00-7:00 p.m. and question period from 7:30-9:30 at Port Moody City Hall,100 Newport Drive. You can Email the mayor at Council@cityofportmoody.com or call 604-469-4500.These people need to know we are tired of losing our access to our local waters.They allready gouge us 16 dollars to launch there.When is the stupidity going to stop?We pay stupid amount of taxes we, purchase a boat,insurance,licences fees etc. and all we get in return is poor fish managment and higher user costs.Perhaps the salmon fisherman is a dying breed in Vancouver,this wouldn't be happening if there were fish left.
