Rid of stinky fish soak in 2%

    It's that time of the year your frozen fish will have a fishy oder, i know i have posted this before
    i did it tonight on 2 scored cod, soaked it in 2% milk for 30 min before cooking, again it works
    Awesome, last one i cooked up 3 weeks ago i forgot to soak it and it had that taste and smell..

    Ever tried this before smoking?

    I’m getting set to smoke up what is left of last years fish.

    Typically I find it still fine at this time of year but wondering if the milk trick would help or hinder for smoking.....

    I don't see why it wouldn’t work, when eating it after the milk process texture is still the same.. rinse and pat dry before brining..
    i will be doing this from now on for the fish at this time of the year for smoking..
