Repowering the Pursuit

After going over my options the last year, I've decided to re-power and do some upgrades. A buddy is re-powering and I was able to pick up one of his used motors so it started the process.

I'm not doing the work, because I want the boat to float when its done! So last week it made it's journey from Sechelt down to Sooke.

Inboard and leg are being removed.
Pod being built and installed.
Yamaha F250 installed.
Kicker removed, new kicker installed.
New electronics and gauges.
Doghouse removed and replaced.
Espar installed
Wood being replaced with starboard.

I'm really excited to see it finished and how it responds in the chuck.

When I get them I will. I picked the outboard and controls up today. Here are the before shots.

I'll let him pipe up if he wants to be known. Been a pleasure to deal with.
The ride has been sweet, the inboard was getting a little tired. That's the biggest reason, fuel savings a close second.

It's going to be sweet, not sure on a gate, it's an easy step over if need be.

Nice looking boat and a nice set up to park the boat (pad/garage). I can only dream of that kind of space living in Vancouver.
That was the main reason for us in leaving The lower mainland, was more bang for your buck. We moved from this spot (Powell River) down to Sechelt.
There is a article on global about house prices increasing in these areas from everyone cashing out and moving up.

I did the conversion a few years ago, but later sold the boat. good ride, huge dance floor. pm me and we can talk. DAJ

I have to start pulling the engine out of my boat this weekend. Sure wish I was going your route instead of just a big repair.
