Questions: Salmon Limits

Question: What is the limit on Sockeye. I believe it is 4 per day per person, But you are only aloud 4 pacific salmon a day in total right. So you can't have 2 spring and 4 sockeye. A buddy of mine told me this and I said no your wrong its 4 salmon total whatever you catch unless it is wild coho which you have to put back.

I said so you could catch 2 spring, 1 Hatchery Coho and 1 Sockeye and your day is over or 4 sockeye day over.

Am I correct or wrong. Can someone let me know.

The combined daily limit for all species of Pacific salmon from tidal waters is 4. Coastwide daily limit for chinook is 2. Aggregate daily limit for all species of Pacific salmon from tidal and non-tidal waters combined is 4.
