ive been through the usual prop selectors on more than a few websites, however my boat doesnt fit the prop selection mold.
Its a 20ft wellcraft v20 steplift
I used to have a merc 165hp 4.3 with a alpha gen2 leg
my winter project is a driveline swap to a 300hp 350mpi and bravo1 leg
the boat used to do about 38knots at 4800rpm with a 19pitch 3 blade prop
we calculated that the boat should do 55knots (+/-5kn) with 300hp
should need about a 23"pitch prop but im not sure what sort of style of prop would be best.
what would be best suited for me? my main desire would be for a low rpm cruise at 30-35kn but also want to hammer down when its calm. 3 or 4 blade? cupped? ss or aluminum? certain styles to look at or avoid?
