Problem Displaying Photos on iMac

Calling on any computer tech types out there.
I've had an ongoing issue displaying photos on my Mac.
I can see them when posted but if I click on them they show up as a large black box.
It happens on this site, Amazon and Facebook.
Probably on others as well.
My IOS is up to date, 10.13.6
Any suggestions would be appreciated, other than get rid of the Mac.

Good question. It is happening on Safari. I just downloaded Google Chrome and it works fine there.

Unsuccessful in locating an update. Google has not been helpful either.

Lots of times there are sites that don’t support safari. I use chrome or Firefox, all sites seem to like those, especially chrome. I also use a Mac.

Ya, might have to change. It worked fine for years and only. recently started to act up. It's a nuisance.

I use a Mac & have no issues displaying photos from this site or any other. I am on 10.13.1

Saw some posts indicating with might be related to newer versions on O/S than mine, which potentially have a new version of Safari than mine (11.0.1)

Guess I'd use Chrome until this is fixed in Safari.
