Oh, to have been around in those days.... 20 yrs from now a Tyee will be anything over 10lbs..lol

I grew up in Alberni and surrounding area. I see some familiar names there that were buddies with my old man.

The run of fish that went to the Nahmint river were legendary. I saw some reals bruisers hanging at the dock in the late 1960's early 70's. I had a math teacher that took a 64 pounder one time, was an incredible fish. Nobody ever considered catch and release in those days and conservation was on nobody's mind.
