Pipeline rupture sends 40,000 litres of oil into Alberta creek

Nothing to see here folks move along. Will be totally back to what it was in only 3 weeks.

In less more than likely but it will be monitored for quite some time just to ensure. More than likely will be cleaned up in a couple days. More oil was probably leaked from vehicles parked around the greater Vancouver area yesterday than was let go there. And all washed into the drains and into the Frazier and then the Ocean.

You are right though, not a lot to see very minor issue.

Ya, my crankcase alone has 80,000 liters in it - pretty minor alright!

I googled pipelines and oil spills in Canada and I stopped looking at them after 3 full internet pages, small print! Some tiny some massive, most out in the middle of nowhere and got literally no press coverage. As always it says limited environmental impact because it spilled out on the Cdn Prairie or Cdn Shield or northern mtns with no people around. It sickens me because there’s NO such thing as no environmental impact.

1 train car hold double the amount of this spill, its pretty impressive that they were able to contain the spill to this amount
