One week to go before I move back to BC

Finally coming home after being gone for 20 years. Looking to get some advice on where to do some simple fishing for me and the kids. Most of my equipment is for trout and bass fishing. Hoping to find some ponds, lakes, or creeks near us. I do have a small 14' aluminum with a 15hp motor. But it will be awhile before I get properly licensed up and registered. So to start it will mainly be by foot.

So I'm hoping to get some advice where to go with relatively easy access and what to look for starting in the next couple of weeks.

You've options in your back yard, like Rolley Lake, Whonnok, Mike etc, great for kids. Watch the stocking reports. Buntzen, Silvermere towards Belcarra.
