Nootka Marine Adventures Resigns From Halibut Quota Program

A shout out for Nootka, looks like all implemented moves will be better for environment, lets hope they are the first to resign from quota purchase scam and ALL the rest follow. Could help the real halibut issue, TAC.

A good start and move by them. Hopefully they start telling people that if their fish are processed at Moutcha....they are NOT allowed to keep more than a possession limit before going home. Processing at a licensed facility does not equate to taking your fish to your place of residence.

This came up in the Nootka thread this past season and I assume that the processor in Moutcha is the one in question. The onus IS on the fisherman but I know when we are getting fish processed in Tofino they are tracking our catch.

When they started buying quota they were told by SFI that they were screwing the rest of us so I’m a little suspicious of their motives.
