take off the stuff you have been saving to it and dump it onto a back up card ....

make sure you don't delete off the map stuff ....

all depends on how new or old you plotter is most now have two slots

but save and back up your waypoints and tracks and then also keep a spare blank card just for doing updates
as most like to run the latest firmware...

Is this the Navionics+ US and Canada from a few years ago or a different card? The cards are now 16gb since there have been so many updates and the mapping is better. If you have a current subscription you can purge that card and re-download what areas you want to have on that card.
